Q. [XTOP] Project File Transfer Issue
A.
If you're unable to transfer project files to the XTOP device, there are two main possible causes:

1. Software Version Mismatch with the Device OS
If the software version does not match the OS version of the XTOP device, the transfer may fail.
You can check the OS version on the device under the Information menu.

Please use the appropriate software based on the OS version as follows:
- XTOP OS 2.4 --> XTOP-Designer (required)
- XTOP OS 3.1 --> XDesignerPlus V2 (required)
- XTOP OS 4.X --> XDesignerPlus V4 (required)

2. Connection Issue – “No Response” Error Message
If the software version is correct but a "No response" error appears, this indicates a connection failure between the PC and the XTOP device.

XTOP can connect to the PC via Serial, USB, or Ethernet:
- Serial: Connect to the XTOP's COM1 port.
- USB: Use the front USB mini port.
- Ethernet: Use the rear Ethernet port.

Troubleshooting by connection type:
- Serial (with [USB TO Serial Converter]): Make sure the correct COM port and communication settings are selected in the transfer tool.
- USB: Verify that the USB driver is properly installed. If not, reinstall the driver from the installation directory.
- Ethernet: Check both the PC and TOP Ethernet settings. Try running a ping test to the TOP's IP address from your PC to ensure network communication is working properly.
